Delhi High Court transferred 256 judges in high and lower courts. The Registrar General of Delhi High Court has released the list of transfers with immediate effect on Friday.

Delhi High Court has transferred 256 judges of high and lower courts of Delhi Judiciary. The high court has transferred 23 judges from sessions and district courts and 233 judges from magistrate courts. Registrar General of Delhi High Court has released the list of transfers with immediate effect.

According to the list, Additional Sessions Judge Jitendra Singh will take charge as special judge at Rouse Avenue. The post was vacated by Special Judge Rakesh Sayal on retirement. Special Judge (POCSO) Chhavi Kapoor from Patiala House Court has been shifted to the Special Judge’s Room in Rouse Avenue Court.

This court is hearing the quashing report filed by Delhi Police in the POCSO case related to former BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. Additional Sessions Judge Gomti Manocha has replaced Special Judge Chhavi Kapoor. The High Court has sent back the judges who were on deputation to other departments in NCPCR and Lokayukta. Many magistrates have been vacated and transferred to new courts.
