The Delhi Womenâs Commission has become strict in the case of molestation of a female journalist in an Uber auto in the capital. Commission Chairperson Swati Maliwal termed the incident as unfortunate. He has issued a notice to Uber India and Delhi Police in the matter.
Commission Chairperson Swati Maliwal has sought information from Uber India on the steps being taken for the safety of women. Also, the Delhi Police has been directed to provide complete information regarding the incident by March 6. Apart from the copy of the FIR of the incident, he has also sought information about the arrest of the accused etc. from the police.
Regarding the matter, the journalist said that I told him that if he does not turn around, I will complain. On this he said do it. Uberâs phone was not working so I have recorded its video. As soon as I got out, I took a picture of the driver and the vehicle. I then posted the video on Twitter and the Womenâs Commission contacted me. I have also given a complaint to the police.

The driver in the auto was looking at me the wrong way. At first he looked through the mirror and once I moved away he turned and looked directly at me. He had put one leg up and was driving the auto with one hand.
