Delhi: Law Minister Kiren Rijiju said, ‘Executive and Judiciary should not fight like brothers’

Constitution Day: During a program organized by the Supreme Court Bar Association on the eve of Constitution Day, Law Minister Kiren Rijiju said that the government has always respected the judiciary. It’s been 8 years since our government, but the government has never done anything to hurt the honor of the judiciary.

In his address during the program, Kiren Rijiju said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has never weakened the authority of the judiciary. She will always make sure that her freedom remains untouched and is enhanced. In a program organized in the premises of the Supreme Court, he said that we are the children of the same parents. We are brothers. It is not right to fight and quarrel with each other. We all will work together and make the country stronger.

The event, organized by SCBA to celebrate Constitution Day, was attended by Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud, Attorney General R Venkataramani, judges of the apex court as well as members of the Bar. In his address, the Union Minister said that India is a thriving democracy and for an institution to be successful it must be ensured that due credit and recognition is given to the people in the system.

If the leader is weak then the country is weak: Kiren Rijiju

He said that if the leader is weak then the country is weak. If the CJI is weakened, it amounts to weakening the Supreme Court itself. If the apex court becomes weak, it amounts to weakening of the Indian Judiciary.

Modi will also be present on the occasion of Constitution Day

It may be noted that a program will be organized in the Supreme Court on the occasion of Constitution Day on Saturday. PM Modi will also participate in this. He will launch several new initiatives under the e-courts project here.
