Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena said that no subsidy scheme of the Delhi government will be stopped. People should avoid such rumors and statements aimed at gaining political mileage. The schemes are part of the budget approved by the Government of India and the Lieutenant Governor. These do not belong to any person or political party. At the same time, after LG’s clarification, Delhi government patted its back and said that this is the victory of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
The Lieutenant Governor said that any person going to jail under the legal process will not affect any scheme of the government. Members of particular parties and government ministers are deliberately giving false and misleading statements. Any kind of subsidy schemes benefiting the poor will not be stopped. The money for these schemes does not come from the account of any individual or political party, rather their expenses are borne from the Consolidated Fund of Delhi.
The subsidy schemes belong to the government and are neither operated nor dependent on any person holding any position. These schemes are allocated in the budget, which is approved by the Government of India. Any person going to jail under the law does not affect any scheme.
Kejriwal government running from jail, schemes will continue: Saurabh Bhardwaj
At the same time, Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj said that the Kejriwal government is running from jail with full strength. All free schemes of the government will continue. As long as Kejriwal is the Chief Minister of Delhi, all the public works will continue to be done. Kejriwal had also promised the people of Delhi that whether he is outside the jail or inside, he will not let the work stop. The public will continue to get free electricity, water, education and treatment and other facilities.
After Kejriwal went to jail, those who used to say that they will not let the government run from jail, now they too have given up and accepted that the Kejriwal government will run from jail and work will continue. It is a big victory for Kejriwal that despite being in jail, he forced the LG to say that the work will continue. Whereas LG has always been stopping the work of the people of Delhi. At the same time, AAP candidate from West Delhi Mahabal Mishra alleged that after the Chief Minister went to jail, the problem of power outage has started at many places. If the facility is closed then they will take to the streets.
