The police had argued before the Additional Sessions Judge of the Rohini court that Ravinder was notorious as a psychopathic murderer and had raped and killed more than 30 minor girls between 2008 and 2015. The court noted that the police have been successful in proving the offense of abduction, murder and physical assault of a six-year-old girl against the accused.

In such a situation, he is being sentenced to life imprisonment. The accused was allegedly involved in the kidnapping and murder of 30 children between 2008 and 2015. Only three cases went to trial. The convict was in the habit of taking drugs, engaging in pornographic films and then looking for young children. He used to assault minors and then brutally kill them.

Ravindra Kumar, who was then 18 years old, came to Delhi from Kasganj in Uttar Pradesh in search of employment. His mother was a domestic help who used to work in people’s homes. While his father was a plumber. A few days after reaching Delhi, Ravinder became addicted to drugs and acquired a videotape of a pornographic film. He soon established a terrifying routine. According to the prosecution, Ravinder Kumar used to work as a laborer throughout the day before getting intoxicated at night. He would fall asleep in a slum between eight o’clock and midnight and then wake up to look for the children.

The accused used to go 40 km in search of prey

In search of prey, he sometimes walked up to 40 kilometers through slums and construction areas. Delhi Police had arrested Ravinder Kumar in 2014 on charges of kidnapping, attempt to murder and physical abuse of a 6-year-old child. After abducting the girl, he threw her in a sewage tank. Subsequently, the police detained her near the Sukhbir Nagar bus stop in Delhi’s Rohini as they probed the 2015 case of the six-year-old girl. The police first checked the information gathered from a large number of CCTV cameras, interrogated informers and then took Ravinder into custody.

Even the children of relatives were not spared.

Ravinder Kumar did not even spare the children of his relatives and committed crimes against them as well. He also confessed to targeting two children of a relative of his aunt. Not only this, he has shown 15 such places to the police, where he had carried out kidnapping, rape and murder.
