Satyendar Jain’s argument in court
According to Satyendra Jain, he has fully cooperated in the investigation. While filing the bail plea, he had told the court that he was not in a position to influence the witnesses and tamper with the evidence. The Enforcement Directorate had registered a case against Satyendar Jain on 30 September 2017 under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. While filing the bail application in the High Court, Satyendar Jain had said that there is no risk in giving him relief.
Accused in the case of fraud of five crores
The lower court had rejected the bail plea of Satyendar Jain on 17 November. The lower court had said in its order that Satyendar Jain was prima facie involved in hiding the proceeds of crime. It was argued on behalf of Jain that he does not have any such money, hence the case under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act is not made out. The petition said that on the basis of only some information, the special judge and the ED have drawn a wrong interpretation, which cannot be a reason for the offense under PMLA. Satyendar Jain was arrested on May 30 this year in a money laundering case of Rs 5 crore.
Controversy over Satyendra Jain massage
Recently, videos of Satyendar Jain taking alleged massage in jail have gone viral. BJP is constantly besieging CM Kejriwal and Delhi’s ‘AAP’ government regarding Jain’s alleged massage video. Taking the viral video, CM Kejriwal retaliated in a special conversation with ABP News on November 30 and said that this is the difference between their (BJP) and our politics. He had said that BJP makes videos and makes false allegations, if it had worked for 15 years, it would not have used videos today. He had said that the government of Aam Aadmi Party works, if BJP had worked, it would not have to resort to videos.
Let us tell you that earlier on the allegations made by the BJP, the AAP government had said that on the advice of the doctor, Jain was being given physiotherapy in the jail. After this, it was claimed by the BJP that the person who massaged Jain was a rape accused in jail under the POCSO Act.
