The North West District Police is cracking down on minors involved in crimes. The result of the strictness of the police is that the 17-year-old main accused of the infamous gang that murdered in Jahangirpuri will now be tried as an adult.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Usha Rangnani said that this is the first case in Delhi, in which a minor will be tried as an adult. The police will get the harshest punishment from the court to the accused, so that it becomes a lesson for other minors as well. In January this year in Jahangirpuri area, three minors had stabbed a young man to death. All three minors were inspired by films like Pushpa and Bhaukaal.

One of the accused had even made a costume like the actor of the film Pushpa. The 17-year-old minor wanted to form his own infamous gang. He executed the murder to make a video and put it on social media and make himself famous. In this heinous incident, the police requested the Juvenile Justice Board to transfer the trial of the 17-year-old minor to the Sessions Court so that his trial could be proceeded as an adult. The board gave its permission.
