A panchayat of Khap of 96 villages was held at Lado Sarai on Sunday to protest against the non-solution of the problems of the villages of the capital and not making the Yamuna pollution free. In the Panchayat, the villagers said in one voice that they would participate in the program of forming a human chain of the Yamuna Sansad Sangathan on June 4 to clean the Yamuna.
The Panchayat is headed by the head of Lado Sarai 96 Khap Ch. Naresh did. He said that his Khap has geared up to clean the Yamuna and residents of all the villages under the Khap will participate in the programs organized for cleaning the Yamuna. In the Panchayat, Delhi Panchayat Sangh Delhi Pradesh chief Than Singh Yadav apprised the villagers about the 18-point demands of the villages. He said that no one is taking care of the villagers and rules are being imposed on the villagers which disturb them. For this reason, preparations are being made for the movement regarding these 18-point demands.
Ch. The king termed the 18-point demands as the armor of the villagers. He said that there is a need to give relief to the villages from house tax, parking charges etc. taxes, ceiling, building bye-laws etc. and to give ownership to the villagers. Apart from National President of Bihari Welfare Sanjay, JKBM President Rajesh Sejwal, President of Sai Jan Vikas Foundation Bibi Mishra were also present in the panchayat.
LG inspected the Yamuna Rejuvenation Project
Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena on Sunday inspected the works being done under the Yamuna Rejuvenation Project between Signature Bridge to ITO. After inspecting the first phase of the project as the chairman of the high level committee, he reviewed the current situation. After taking stock of the situation by boat for about 11 km, the LG directed the officials to complete the project within the stipulated time. The first meeting of the committee was attended by the chief secretaries of Delhi and Haryana, along with officials from other agencies. He asked the departments and concerned agencies to make better coordination so that the Yamuna could be rejuvenated within the stipulated time.
Expressed concern over destruction of crops, warned of march
Panchayat of Bhartiya Kisan Union (Ajgar) was held in Chilla Yamuna Khadar submergence area. In this, concern was expressed over destruction of raw crops of farmers and agricultural labourers, demolition of slums and submersible means of irrigation, breaking of pumps. On this occasion, the state president of the union, Rakesh Kasana, said that raw crops and slums of the residents should not be demolished until talks are held with the farmers, laborers and the people of the union by a competent officer. On doing this, agitation will be done at the officers’ house.
Uttar Pradesh Kisan Union President Sachin Sharma said that it is not right to destroy the standing crop. A memorandum was also sent to the Panchayat in the name of the Lieutenant Governor. Farmers Union said that if the raw crops are destroyed forcibly, farmers will march on foot from Chilla Khadar to the LG office. Mainly many farmer leaders including Balkrishna Chauhan, Sushil Chauhan, Rajveer Mahendra Singh, Vinod Rana, Amarpal Mahipal participated in the panchayat.
