Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has sought a few days’ time from the CBI, citing the busyness of finalizing the budget. Being the Finance Minister, he told his role in preparing the budget is very important. In fact, the CBI had called him for questioning in the liquor policy case on Sunday, while he termed the CBI’s summons as politically motivated. He said that the Supreme Court’s order came on Friday regarding the mayoral election of MCD and he received the summons of CBI on Saturday.

AAP leader and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia alleged that the BJP wants to take revenge from the people of Delhi for being defeated in the Supreme Court in the MCD case. The delay in the budget will be a loss to the public. He said that the BJP should not take revenge on the public, but on them. On the other hand, he urged the CBI and said that being the last week of February, every single day is important for the preparations of the budget.

Urging the CBI, he said that he is busy finalizing the upcoming budget of Delhi. For this reason, every single day is very important. He is continuously trying for 24 hours to prepare Delhi’s budget by the end of February and send it to the Central Government for approval. That’s why CBI can call for questioning anytime after the end of February or after that. He will cooperate fully and answer all their queries. The CBI had called him on Sunday for questioning on the liquor policy.
