Expansion

After the ban on bike taxis, the Transport Department’s meeting with the aggregator may be held soon. The Transport Department’s strictness on the commercial use of private two-wheelers has stopped the wheels of thousands of bike taxis.

In view of this, the aggregator had requested for a meeting with the Transport Department to present its stand in the matter. It is believed that if the meeting takes place before the implementation of the new aggregator policy, then the doubts on both the sides will end on many aspects. In view of the tightening noose on those who violate the rules, the drivers are also refusing to accompany the passengers to the destination. Due to this, the passengers are facing a lot of difficulties. After preparing the cab aggregator policy, the Delhi government has sent it to the law department after making some changes in it. In this, standards have been set on passenger safety standards, license and other aspects.

The transport department had sent a notice to the aggregator asking it to reply within seven days. He has urged for a meeting with the Transport Department, so that they can also get relief once the policy is implemented. Fines are also being imposed on those who violate the public notice issued by the Transport Department. Aggregators and daily bike taxi users are waiting for the new policy to be implemented. Drivers say that necessary rules for safety are being followed but their work has stopped due to the ban.

E-two wheelers will be encouraged

E-two wheelers will be encouraged under the policy. Sources say that only e-vehicles can be allowed to be included under this policy, so that pollution can also be tightened. By 2030, all vehicles will be converted to e-vehicles in several phases. There have also been complaints of ignoring safety standards many times while transporting passengers to the destination on private two-wheelers on rent. So far, the Delhi government has not given permission to the aggregator for commercial use of two-wheelers.
