According to Delhi State Load Dispatch Center, the maximum electricity demand in the city was 8,302 MW at 3:36 pm. Earlier, the maximum electricity demand was 8,000 MW on May 22. Tata Power-DDL has successfully met the highest demand of 2339 MW of electricity in its area. Adequate arrangements have been made to meet every demand.

However, due to the demand of electricity, load shedding was done in many areas. The problem of power cuts has also been reported. Apart from this, the street lights for supplying electricity are being affected. The maximum demand for electricity in the BRPL area of ​​​​South and West Delhi, which was 3250 MW and 3389 MW in 2023 and 2022, is expected to reach around 3680 MW during the summer of 2024. On the other hand, the maximum demand for electricity in the BYPL area of ​​​​East and Central Delhi, which reached 1670 MW and 1752 MW during the summer of 2023 and 2022, is expected to reach around 1860 MW this year.
