Demand Of Eggs And Chicken Increased Amid Winter Season Will Be Profitable For Farmers And Poultry Business

Chicken Consumption: There has been a significant increase in the demand for eggs and chicken in winter, but due to steady supply and increase in the cost of poultry, the prices of eggs and chicken are also increasing. Like every year, this year too, with the rising temperature, the prices of chicken and eggs start skyrocketing. Especially in Delhi-NCR, as soon as November comes, the consumption of chicken and eggs increases. Many reports have shown that the price of chicken has increased by Rs 30 to 40 per piece. At the same time, an increase of 4 to 5 rupees has been registered in the price of eggs in some areas.

There is also a reason behind this that most of the eggs in Delhi-NCR region comes from Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab and Bihar. Conditions like fog and cold wave are being seen in these areas, due to which transportation is getting delayed. Due to this the supply has slowed down, due to increase in demand, an increase in prices is also being seen.

The price of Namakkal eggs also increased
Namakkal eggs, which are exported to India and abroad, are also being sold expensive these days. On Friday, the price of Namakkal eggs has been recorded at Rs 5.65 per piece. There are many reasons behind its price increase, including increasing demand in the international market as well as domestic market, increase in export of Namakkal eggs and increase in cost of Namakkal egg production.

Due to these reasons, a rise in prices is now being seen. Let us tell you that a large consignment of Namakkal eggs is being exported to Qatar in the last month, although there is no demand for eggs in the domestic market of Tamil Nadu, because eggs are avoided in Thai month i.e. Sabarimala season, so most Namakkal eggs are exported abroad. is done.

Demand increased after Ukraine war, FIFA World Cup increased supply
Although Tamil Nadu’s Namakkal eggs have been exported only on average, but after the Russia-Ukraine war, Gulf countries have made India’s Namakkal eggs their diet. Actually, most of the Gulf countries are imported from Turkey, but due to global movements, there was a brake on the export, after which the demand for eggs started coming from India.

Indian poultry farmers got a lot of income during the recently concluded FIFA World Cup. A consignment of about 4 crore eggs was sent from India to Qatar. With this, India has now become a new customer of eggs.

New competition came in the market
Malaysia is emerging as a new competitor in the sale of Namakkal eggs in the international market. Malaysia has given Namakkal eggs to Qatar at cheap rates. While it has been exported from India at the rate of Rs 5.65 per piece, Malaysia is giving this egg to Qatar at the rate of Re 1 less i.e. Rs 4.65 per piece to establish its business. Recently Qatar has also imported 90,000 eggs from Malaysia.

Egg certification will help
Indian poultry farmers are all set to join the growing competition in the international market, but there are still hurdles regarding the certification of eggs from APEDA. As soon as the certificates will be issued by APEDA. Similarly, along with Qatar, Tamil Nadu’s Namakkal eggs will also be sent to Sri Lanka and Indonesia.

At present, the circumstances are largely in favor of the poultry farmers. Most of the earnings from eggs and meat are available in the winter season only, so poultry farmers in the wholesale market and traders in the retail market are earning a lot of money.
