On the second day of action in Lucknow Akbarnagar Pratham, the team of LDA and district administration demolished 165 illegal constructions and on Saturday morning the demolition process started again. During this, when some people came to protest, they were chased away by the security forces. Meanwhile, people continued to be displaced from here on Friday as well. They are being shifted to the Pradhan Mantri Awas of Basant Kunj Yojana.

A total of 614 illegal constructions have been demolished so far in Akbar Nagar I and II. 15 Pokelin machines, 12 JCBs and 15 water tanks have been deployed in this campaign. The action is going on from seven in the morning to two in the afternoon and then from three in the night to eight in the night.

On Friday, 79 allottees of Akbarnagar were given possession of the Prime Minister’s house. LDA Joint Secretary SP Singh said that till now possession has been given to 971 allottees. Apart from this, Prime Minister’s houses have been allotted to 1800 residents and allotment letters have been given to all the people. On Friday, people’s belongings were loaded in 42 loader vehicles and taken to the allotted houses.

The house was vacated when the power was cut

Some people in Akbarnagar Pratham were not vacating their houses. When they did not remove their belongings despite repeated requests from the administration, the electricity supply to their houses was cut off. When the supply of electricity and water was cut off, everyone started vacating their houses.
