People got enraged on the morning of March 6 after the murder of Vikas alias Bittu, son of a TV operator, living in Lodhi Vihar of Sasni Gate area of ​​Aligarh metropolis. When the body reached the locality after post-mortem, the body was placed at Sasni Gate intersection and blocked. They created a ruckus by forming a human chain while raising anti-police slogans. During this time the police kept explaining for three hours. Later, people calmed down after SP City assured to arrest the accused within 24 hours. After that the dead body was lifted and the jam was opened. Later the last rites were performed under police surveillance.

Vikas alias Bittu, the eldest son of three children of Bhura Pandit, resident of Lodhi Vihar of Sasnigate police station area, was murdered on March 5 at 7.30 pm. Bittu was shot amid a fight and fight with the attackers who came riding on three vehicles. However, after this massacre which took place over a color dispute, people gathered at the police station till late night. The police also remained alert regarding the uproar. After the post-mortem, the body reached the locality at 4 am on March 6. As the day broke, the crowd gathered again. Before the last rites, at around 9 o’clock the crowd placed the body on a cot and brought it to Sasni Gate intersection. They blocked the road by placing the dead body in the middle of the intersection.

On receiving information about the jam, forces from several police stations reached the spot within a short time. Started efforts to convince the people who were blocking the traffic and creating ruckus by forming a human chain. But he was not ready to accept or listen to anything the police said. All were adamant on demanding the arrest of the remaining accused in the case. Traffic was also disrupted by stopping vehicles and placing them crisscrossing. During this time, SP City Mrigank Shekhar Pathak reached and tried to convince the people. SP City assured arrest within 24 hours. Only then did people calm down and the jam was opened. After this the body was taken for cremation.

During the post-mortem, it was revealed that a bullet had hit Vikas in his chest, which had hit his spinal cord via his heart. He died due to this bullet.
