After the accident in Rajendra Nagar, politics in Delhi has also intensified. Aam Aadmi Party MLAs and councillors protested at the LG Secretariat on Monday afternoon. This protest was done to demand the removal of the Delhi Municipal Corporation Commissioner. Action was demanded against the officers for not cleaning the drains.

Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has ordered an inquiry into the Rajendra Nagar coaching centre accident. He has asked the divisional commissioner to complete the investigation and submit a report by Tuesday. The Lieutenant Governor has blamed the coaching centre along with the concerned agency and department for this accident. He has also targeted the AAP government.
LG said that he is saddened by the death of three students preparing for civil services due to waterlogging in the basement of a coaching centre and another student due to electrocution due to waterlogging. It is extremely unfortunate and unacceptable that such a thing happened in the country’s capital. In the last few days, seven other citizens have died due to electrocution in Delhi. Deep condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in these incidents.
