When Local 18 spoke to housewife Shahnaz, she told that to make Sitaphal Kheer, you have to take out the pulp inside it and separate the seeds. Then it has to be cooked well with ghee and dry fruits and spices. After this add milk and cook and finally add sugar as per your taste. Now, just before serving, add cardamom, mix and garnish with dry fruits and serve.
Ingredients to make Sitaphal Kheer
2-3 custard apples, 1 liter milk (full cream), 1/2 cup sugar (or as per taste), 2-3 tsp cashew nuts, almonds and pistachios (chopped), 2-3 tsp ghee, 1/2 tsp cardamom powder. You can prepare this ingredient from the recipe mentioned above. With this amount of ingredients, two to three bowls of kheer will be prepared. As far as its benefits are concerned, Dr. Ansari told that Custard Apple is beneficial for our health, it contains Vitamin C. Besides, it is also beneficial for heart disease. Custard apple contains potassium and magnesium, which helps in dilating the blood vessels.
