Ingredients to make Mawa Burfi
Maw (khoya) – 1/2 kg
Cardamom powder – 1/4 tsp
Pistachio slices – 2 tbsp
Sugar – 2 cups (as per taste)

How to make Mawa Burfi
To make Mawa Barfi, first take Mawa and shift it in a big utensil and then mash it well with the help of hands. Now put the grated mawa in a pan and keep it on medium flame to heat. After roasting the mawa for 1 minute, add sugar as per taste and mix it well with the help of a ladle. During this, keep the flame of the gas on low and roast while stirring the mawa.

During cooking, after some time both mawa and sugar will start melting. The mixture has to be cooked until it becomes thick and smooth. After cooking for about 20 minutes, the mixture will start separating from the pan. After this, add cardamom powder to it and mix it well. After this, turn off the gas and grease a plate or tray with some ghee.

Now put the prepared mawa mixture in the tray and spread it evenly all around and then leave the mixture for 2 to 3 hours to set. If you want to set it quickly, you can keep the tray in the fridge for half an hour. Once the mixture is set, then grind it with the help of a knife. Your tasty Mawa Barfi is ready. Keep it in an air tight container for storage.
