There the king told sage Angira that there has been no rain in my kingdom for the last three years. Due to this there is a famine and the people are suffering. It is written in the scriptures that the people suffer due to the effect of the king’s sins. I rule according to the Dharma, then how did this famine occur, please tell me some solution to solve this problem of mine.

Sage Angir said that in this age only Brahmins have the right to do penance and read Vedas, but king, a Shudra is doing penance in your kingdom. Due to this fault, there is no rain in your kingdom. If you want the welfare of the people, then get that Shudra killed soon. King Mandhata said that killing an innocent person is against my rules, please suggest some other solution.
