DFS Chief Atul Garg Said No Cash was found at Residence of Delhi High Court Judge – Amar Ujala Hindi News Live
Delhi Fire Service Head Atul Garg said on Friday that the fire personnel did not get any cash while extinguishing the fire at the residence of Delhi High Court Judge Yashwant Verma. Garg told PTI that on March 14 at 11.35 pm, the control room was reported to be on fire at Yashwant Verma’s Lutyens Delhi residence and two fire engines immediately reached the spot.

Fire brigade reached the spot at 11.43 pm. Garg said that the fire was in a store room filled with stationery and household items. He said that it took 15 minutes to control the fire. There were no casualties. The DFS chief said that soon after extinguishing the fire, we informed the police about the fire incident. After this, a team of firefighters left from the spot. Fire personnel did not get any cash while extinguishing the fire.
On Friday, the Supreme Court Collegium launched an initial investigation against Verma, who had recovered a large amount of cash from the government residence during the alleged fire incident. It was also reportedly demanded to transfer him to the Allahabad High Court.
