Why is Lakshmi worship done on Dhanteras? (Lakshmi Puja Significance on Dhanteras)

Due to the presence of Goddess Lakshmi, the farmer’s house was filled with wealth and grains. When Prabhu returned after 12 years, the farmer refused to let him go. Then Goddess Lakshmi told the farmer to light a ghee lamp at night while cleaning the house on the day of Dhanteras and worship her in the evening by keeping money in a copper urn. If you do this, I will stay at your house for the whole year. It is believed that since then the worship of Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, started on the day of Dhanteras.
