Dhordo: Dhordo, Ideal Village of PM Modi Friend Mian Hussain, Where Elections Have Not Been Held Since 1963 – Amar Ujala Hindi News Live
In the political-social system of our country, after the individual and the family, ‘village’ is seen as the basic unit. Our leaders have believed that if the country has to be developed, villages will have to be developed first. This is the reason why everyone from Mahatma Gandhi to Prime Minister Modi presented their own ideas about the development of these villages and worked to strengthen it as per their thinking.
Adarsh Village Dhordo
What ‘Adarsh Village’ means for Prime Minister Modi can be seen by coming to Kutch district of Gujarat. Dhordo, a village situated about 86 kilometers away from Bhuj, can be called an ideal and developed village in many ways. Situated in the desert of Kutch near the Pakistani border, this village has every facility that can be imagined in a village. Every house here has a toilet, every house has tap water supply, a hospital, a school and every family has housing facilities.
smart village
The village schools are connected with broadband fiber. Children study in smart classes in village schools. A community hall has also been built in the village, in which the district collector along with the public representatives and officials make plans for the development of the village. Sometimes they come in person and sometimes participate in the meetings here through online mode. Sarpanch of this village Mian Hussain shows the presentation of village development on smart TV to the collector and receives appropriate suggestions.
work for every hand
Providing employment for everyone in a remote desert area was an impossible task. Till now, due to lack of employment, the youth of the village used to go to nearby cities in search of livelihood without completing their education. But an initiative of Prime Minister Modi has now changed the picture of the youth of this village.
A three-month long Kutch Rann Utsav is organized every year in village Dhordo. Every year a large number of tourists come here to see the Gujarati culture and the White Desert of Kutch. The village families earn a good amount of money by providing accommodation, food and travel facilities to these tourists.
Ghiyasuddin’s words
Ghiyasuddin, a youth from Dhordo village, told Amar Ujala that in 2016, he was given training in tourism in his village itself. Keeping in mind the preferences of the tourists, they were given information about their village, food, lifestyle, Kutch culture and what they can tell the tourists about the entire area. At the time of training, he used to get nine thousand rupees per month. Now this amount has increased to Rs 12 thousand per month.
Ghiyasuddin belongs to Malgujar community (people dependent on rearing animals). Apart from tourism, they also earn better money from their work and thus their life goes on very well. Like Ghiyasuddin, there are many youths of Dhordo village who earn money for the whole year by providing various facilities to the tourists and lead a good life.
Modi’s friend Mian Hussain
Sarpanch Mian Hussain of Dhordo village is called the ‘friend’ of Prime Minister Narendra Modi by the people of this area. The big reason for this is that when Prime Minister Modi dreamed of developing this area, he gave the responsibility for it to the village Sarpanch Mian Hussain. Many generations of Mian Hussain have been working as public representatives of the village. It is because of the love of the people of the village that no elections have been held in this village since 1963. First his grandfather, later his father and now he is being elected unopposed.
Earning of every youth around 40 thousand
Mian Hussain told Amar Ujala that the entire credit for the development of this area goes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. No one had even dreamed of developing this village situated in the desert. But Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with his thinking, transformed it from the last village of the country to the ‘first village’ situated on the border of the country.
He told that due to Rann Utsav of Kutch, every family here earns good income. In just three months of the festival, the youth earn for the whole year. For this they do different things. In the village, small houses are built for tourists like a tent city. Through this they earn better. The income received from the fair is used for the development of the village itself. The administration of the village is run with the help of the District Magistrate. For this, proper development plans are made and implemented.
most proud thing
Mian Hussain told Amar Ujala that the youth were facing problems due to lack of livelihood. They were leaving the village and the village culture, their Kutch culture, Kutch language, everything was beginning to succumb to modernity. But because of a dream of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, now the youth of the village are not going out for employment. They are getting everything in the village itself. The biggest thing that has happened in all this is that the culture of the village, which was being forgotten by the villagers, is now proudly telling its stories to the tourists. Nothing can be bigger than this for Kutchi culture.
