Many new features have been added to DigiLocker with UMANG APP integration. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has said that users will now be given access to personal and official documents and many government services through the app. Currently, you can manage Umang App integration in DigiLocker only for Android users. Umang app integration in DigiLocker has currently been rolled out only for Android users. It will also be rolled out for iOS in the coming days.
National e-Governance Division gave information
National e-Governance Division has given information about Umang App in DigiLocker. With this integration, users will be able to access many services like Aadhar, PAN, EPFO, certificates, pension, utility, health and travel on a single platform. As of now, the service is being offered only to Android users as it is not available on the iOS platform.
If you are not getting integration of Umang app in DigiLocker, then you can follow this process.
1. First of all, update the DigiLocker app to the latest version in your smartphone.
2. After this open DigiLocker app in your Android phone
3. Then tap on the Umang icon visible in the DigiLocker app
4. After this, when prompted, install the Umang app from Google Play Store.
What is Digital Locker?
Digital Locker Digital Locker or DigiLocker DigiLocker is a kind of virtual locker. Using this you can store your documents online. You can store any government certificate like PAN Card, Voter ID, Passport etc. in DigiLocker. To open a DigiLocker account, it is mandatory to have Aadhar card.
