Scare Techniques: On the phone, the fraudster claims that the victim’s son is involved in some serious crime and the police have arrested him. He also says that money is needed immediately to release the son.
Demand for money: The fraudster tells the victim that if he wants to save his son, he must send a certain amount immediately. They force him to send this amount through digital means so that it becomes difficult to track it.
Taking advantage of state of mind: In this situation, many people panic and immediately send money without confirming whether something has actually happened to their son or not.
