In the year 2021, the Modern Coach Factory had considered making metro coaches in the country. These coaches were to be manufactured under Make in India. Let us tell you, at that time a tender of Rs 150 crore was issued for the manufacture of metro coaches. Actually, earlier metro coaches were imported from China or other countries, due to which their price was very high. But since these coaches started being made in the country, their price has come down by about 40 percent compared to earlier.
