This ultramodern suit weighing only two kilograms is fireproof and will also prove effective against biological and light nuclear attacks. Such suits are available with the armies of developed countries. So far, the suits are capable of providing protection for only four hours.
These suits are made based on activated carbon powder and beads, sphere coated fabrics. These are less effective due to loss of carbon shedding. DRDO wing DMSRDE Kanpur has developed the technology of activated carbon fabric (ACF) based chemical protective suit.
The developed suit is based on the dungaree design. It will not have the problem of loss of carbon shedding. There will be no deterioration in quality even after six washes. Physical comfort, better dimensional stability and maintainability have been promoted in this suit.
