Never keep these foods in Fridge: Many things are used in the kitchen for cooking every day. Prepare different types of food, use vegetables, milk, curd, spices etc. Sometimes some things become so much that they have to be kept in the fridge, so that they can be used the next day. You keep food items in the fridge, but you know that by keeping some foods, spices and vegetables, they do not remain fresh, rather they get spoiled. Consuming these can harm your health. These are some common foods which, if kept in the fridge, do not remain fresh but become toxic. Ayurvedic doctor Dr. Dimple Jangra has given this information by sharing a post on her Instagram account and has told about some such foods, which can be harmful for health after keeping in the fridge.
Do not keep these things in the fridge even by mistake
1. Do not keep unpeeled garlic in the refrigerator. Many times it happens that people peel extra garlic and keep it in the fridge beforehand to add it to the vegetable. Do you know that garlic can be toxic? Ayurvedic gut health coach Dr. Dimple says that when you keep peeled garlic in the refrigerator, fungus starts forming on it very fast. This fungus that forms on garlic can cause cancer. You should keep the garlic outside and never buy peeled garlic from the market. Peel the garlic only while adding it to vegetables, pulses and non-veg.
2. Do not keep cut onions in the fridge. Many times it happens that people cut more onion to add to vegetables or salad and when it is left, they keep it in the fridge. Onion is resistant to low temperatures. When you keep it in the fridge, the starch present in it starts converting into sugar, due to which mold starts forming on it. Never make the mistake of keeping peeled chopped onions in the refrigerator. Due to this, the surrounding harmful bacteria start settling on the onion, due to which fungus starts growing.
3. Do not keep ginger in the fridge by mistake. When you keep a piece of ginger in the fridge, it starts catching bacteria and fungus very fast. Continuous use of this type of ginger can cause damage to your kidneys and liver. Never keep it in the refrigerator. Rich in antioxidants and many nutrients, ginger is a very healthy herb for health.
4. Do not keep even cooked rice in the refrigerator. It happens in almost every house that when rice is left after eating, people keep it in the fridge. This is a very common practice; one should avoid eating rice kept for more than one day. Actually, rice is also a food on which fungus starts forming very fast. Repeatedly eating heated rice and keeping it in the refrigerator, that too for more than 24 hours, can cause food poisoning. Not only this, rice should never be heated more than once. Not only this, potatoes and bell peppers should also not be kept in the refrigerator, otherwise their texture, color and taste may change. It is better to keep it at room temperature only.
