Do you know the 10 second rule of toll, then you will not have to pay tax.

To travel long distances by vehicle, we often have to pass through toll plazas. Here every vehicle has to pay toll tax. It depends on the distance and vehicle how much tax you will have to pay. Anyway, to avoid long queues of vehicles at toll, the government has started the Fast-Tag system. With its help, toll can be crossed without stopping and the tax is also less as compared to cash, but you know that toll tax can also be completely free. How…let us tell.

Waiting time exceeded 10 seconds

Two and a half years ago, in May 2021, the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) had brought a rule, the purpose of which was that no one at the toll The vehicle should not stop for more than 10 seconds. If it takes more time than this, the vehicle owner can leave without paying toll tax. According to the rules, even if there is a lot of crowd at the toll plaza, the waiting time for any vehicle should not be more than 10 seconds.

Queue longer than 100 meters

< p>According to NHAI rules, queues of vehicles at toll plazas should not exceed 100 meters. If this is due to the busyness of vehicles at the toll plaza and you are parking and waiting outside the radius of 100 meters, then you can pay tax without paying. According to the rules, there must be a yellow strip at every toll plaza to indicate this 100 meter radius. If this happens and you face problems or are forced to pay tax, you can call NHAI’s helpline number (1033).

Distance, make, type of vehicle. Toll tax is fixed on the size.

If seen, the tax at the toll plaza is cheaper on fast tag rather than paying in cash. Anyway, Fast Tag has now been made mandatory by the government. Its purpose is to reduce waiting time and prevent wastage of fuel. At the same time, if we want to know how toll tax is charged, then it depends on the distance of the road, its structure, size of vehicles etc. By the way, the distance from one toll plaza to another is 60 kilometers.
