Watching Reels Side Effects: If you are watching reels on mobile while sleeping then you are playing with your health. According to a study by Balrampur Hospital, 60 percent of the people who watch the reels are troubled by problems like insomnia, headache, migraine. The mental health department of the hospital conducted a study on 150 patients who came to the OPD. Completed in 6 months, such mental patients were included in this study, whose age ranges from 10 years to 55 years. There were also 30 female patients among them.

Dr. Devashish Shukla, HoD, Mental Health Department, told that most of the patients involved in this study admitted that they have been watching reels for more than one and a half years. These people keep scrolling reels on social media from the time they wake up in the morning till they go to sleep at night. Most of the patients admitted that they watch the reels continuously for half an hour a day. These patients have not shared any video or reel of theirs on social media. Just used to watching other’s reels.
Side effects of watching reels
Out of 150 people involved in this study, 30 patients said that whenever they could not watch the reels, they started feeling restless. Due to not watching the reels, one does not feel like doing any work and there is also severe headache. Many times, fluctuations in BP have also been seen in this affair. 20 percent of the patients say that due to watching the reels, their sleep is broken and they do not sleep until they watch the reels for 10 to 15 minutes. Because of this, confusion is also felt.

According to health experts, 60 percent of the people involved in this study believed that their daily routine is affected by sleep loss. Neither I feel like studying nor in my job. The patients who are reaching the hospital have problems like headache, pain in the eyes, shine in the eyes while sleeping, bad time to eat.
Tips to Avoid the Reels
Try to gradually reduce the habit of watching more reels on the phone.
Try to use mobile only when needed.
Read your favorite books.
Hang out with friends. Interact as much as possible.
