Driving License (DL) and vehicle registration certificates (RC) may soon become digital in Delhi. The state government is planning to introduce digital DL and digital RC for vehicle owners to make it easier for the verification process and other purposes.
The move is aimed at reducing the delay in issuing driving licenses and registration certificates in the national capital, where both documents are currently issued in physical cards. The electronic version of DL and RC can be stored electronically like Aadhaar card and will be accessible through various smartphone apps.
