GM of East Central Railway suddenly reached Samastipur railway station. Before this, he did a window inspection from Hajipur to Samastipur. During this, he also reviewed the ongoing development work of Samastipur under Amrit Bharat Station Yojana and issued necessary guidelines to the officials. Later, while talking to journalists at Samastipur station, he said that he has come to inspect in view of the possible flood. Because Samastipur Railway Division falls in the area of ​​North Bihar, where there is a danger of flood every year.

He reviewed the flood preparations made by the divisional administration. He was briefed in detail by the railway officials on the flood preparations being made in the division. He informed that stock points have been made at places like Madhepura, Deng, Panchgachiya etc. in Samastipur, where wagons loaded with boulders, dust and cement bags have been kept ready. Where, if needed, they can be moved to the site of incident as per the requirement.

Work is going on at 80 out of 92 stations under Amrit Bharat Station Yojana

The General Manager informed that out of 92 stations of East Central Railway, renovation work is going on at 80 stations in the first phase under Amrit Bharat Station Yojana. This work is to be completed this year. The review is being done at his level, along with the Railway Ministry is also monitoring this work day to day. After the completion of work at these stations, better facilities will be available to the passengers.

Inspection of the circulating area of ​​Samastipur station

The General Manager took stock of the development work being carried out at Samastipur station under the Amrit Bharat Station Yojana along with the circulating area of ​​the station and directed the DRM and the engineering department officials to speed up the work. He asked them to complete the work within the time limit.

Inspection of Samastipur Darbhanga rail section done

He did a window inspection of the flood-affected Samastipur Darbhanga rail section of Samastipur Railway Division. During this DRM Vinay Shrivastava and officials from the Railway Engineering Department were also with him. During the inspection he also took a look at the railway bridges being constructed on this section. He also reviewed the progress of the second bridge being constructed next to Bridge No. 16 which often gets submerged during floods. Later the GM reached Darbhanga station late at night where he went to the crew lobby and obtained information related to conservation from the loco pilots and railway personnel. The loco pilots and other personnel present on the spot explained their problems.
