On Monday, a case of murder was registered against five people including three named in the case of death of Anupam Srivastava (32) due to a car collision on Sunday night in Govindpuri Colony, Modinagar, Ghaziabad. The police have detained one accused.
Eyewitness Arun told the police that drunken rich people celebrating the New Year killed Anupam by crushing him with their car. After hitting him with the car, he was dragged for 100 meters. The car stopped only after hitting an electric pole.
In the FIR lodged by Anupam’s father Surendra Lal Srivastava, a resident of Harmukhpuri colony of Modinagar, it has been said that the only reason was that Anupam had asked him to remove the car coming in the way. On this they started abusing.
When Anupam protested, he was killed by crushing him several times with the car. Anupam had gone to buy chow mein with his friend Arun. Arun told that five people were present in the car. Four loudly told the young man driving the car to crush him (Anupam). After they left, he took his bleeding friend to the hospital, but he was already dead.
