Ginger

Tulsi Tea

salt water gargles
It has been the best remedy for cough since time immemorial and is an age old recipe from the time of our grandmothers and grandmothers. Gargling with warm salt water can help soothe a sore throat and ease a dry cough. For this remedy, add half a teaspoon of salt in a cup of hot water and gargle for 30 seconds, then spit the water.
liquorice root
Licorice root has demulcent properties that may help soothe a dry, scratchy throat and ease a cough. You can either simply chew this root or boil some pieces of licorice root in water for a few minutes, strain the tea and drink it 2-3 times a day. But, it should not be consumed by pregnant women and people with blood pressure problems.
