Earthquake In Delhi: The earth shook once again in New Delhi on Tuesday (November 29). An earthquake of magnitude 2.5 occurred in the capital at around 9.30 pm. The National Center for Seismology said that an earthquake occurred 8 km west of New Delhi, whose depth was 5 km below the ground. There is no information about any casualty or damage so far. This is the third time an earthquake has hit Delhi this month.
Earlier, after a 6.3-magnitude earthquake in Nepal, strong tremors were felt in Delhi and surrounding cities at 2 pm on November 9, due to which many people came out of their homes in the middle of the night.
Earthquake occurred twice in the beginning of November
These strong tremors of the earthquake lasted for about 10 seconds. There was an earthquake in Noida and Gurugram. According to the National Center for Seismology, the depth of the earthquake on November 9 was about 10 km. After this, there was an earthquake in Delhi-NCR on 12 November as well. This was the second time in a week that the tremors of Nepal earthquake were felt in Delhi-NCR.

The center was in Nepal
According to the National Center for Seismology, on November 12, an earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale hit Nepal around 7.57 pm, 212 km southeast of Joshimath in Uttarakhand, at a depth of about 10 km. Earthquake tremors were also felt in parts of Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh. According to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Centre, Nepal, the epicenter of the earthquake was in Bajang.
Delhi comes in Seismic Zone-IV
According to the seismic zoning map of the Bureau of Indian Standards, Delhi falls in Seismic Zone-IV. Zone IV includes areas that are seismically the second most active, with Zone-V being the most active.
