Heat wave conditions will persist in UP also for the next three to four days. Heat wave will also prevail in Northern Madhya Pradesh for which an orange alert has been issued.

Heat wave alert in these states

The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for heat wave. Orange alert of heat wave has been issued for Punjab, Haryana, Delhi. Yellow alert has been issued for Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, coastal areas of Ganga in Bengal and Odisha. It is noteworthy that the heat wave has increased so much that on Friday, Najafgarh area of ​​Delhi was recorded as the hottest in the country. The maximum temperature in Najafgarh crossed 47 degrees Celsius on Friday.

According to the Meteorological Department, in many areas of Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat till 17-21 May, in Bihar till 17-20 May, in Jharkhand till 19-20 May, in North Madhya Pradesh till 18-21 May, in Bengal till 18-20 May and Heatwave alert has been issued in Odisha on 20-21 May. Let us tell you that when the temperature reaches above 40 degrees Celsius in the plains and above 30 degrees Celsius in the hilly areas, then that situation is considered as a heatwave situation.
