65-year-old Ramsevak Mishra, who was sleeping in the living room of his house in village Rautapur Kalan of Khutar police station area of Shahjahanpur, was murdered by hitting his head with a heavy object. After getting information about the matter on Friday morning, SP Rural Manoj Kumar Awasthi inspected. Police have started investigation by sending the body for post-mortem.
Ramsevak Mishra had gone to sleep in the living room on Thursday night after having dinner with his family members. Son Alok Mishra, daughter-in-law Shashi Mishra, granddaughter Riya and grandson Krishna went to sleep in the room of the house. When daughter-in-law Shashi went into the room to sweep at 5.30 am on Friday morning, she raised an alarm after seeing her father-in-law’s dead body lying there.

Hearing the noise, the family members and nearby people reached the spot and saw that Ramsevak’s head had been badly crushed. After this Alok Mishra informed the police about the incident. Acting police station in-charge Ashok Kumar reached the spot and took information. SP Rural and CO Puvayan Nishtha Upadhyay also inspected the spot.
