Guinness Book of World Records posted a post on Instagram congratulating her on her birthday on March 4 and wrote, “Happy birthday to Maria Branias Moreira who is celebrating her 117th birthday today. She got the status of the world’s oldest woman in January 2023.

It is written in the post that Maria was born on March 4, 1907 in San Francisco, America, but returned to Catalonia with her family at the age of 8. Where she has been living in a nursing home for the last 23 years.
