Election commission publishes Electoral bonds details: On the orders of the Supreme Court, the Election Commission has made public the information received from SBI on electoral bonds. The Commission uploaded the data of election donations received from SBI on its website on Thursday. The Supreme Court had asked the Election Commission to make this information public by March 15. The Supreme Court had canceled the electoral bond scheme of the central government, calling it unconstitutional.

The Election Commission has uploaded the data released by SBI in two parts. According to the Commission data, the buyers of electoral bonds include Grasim Industries, Megha Engineering, Piramal Enterprises, Torrent Power, Bharti Airtel, DLF Commercial Developers, Vedanta Limited, Apollo Tyres, Lakshmi Mittal, Edelweiss, PVR, Keventer, Sula Wine, Welspun, And Sun Pharma.

Which parties encashed electoral bonds?

According to Election Commission data, the parties that have encashed electoral bonds include BJP, Congress, AIADMK, BRS, Shiv Sena, TDP, YSR Congress, DMK, JDS, NCP, TMC, JDU, RJD, AAP and SP.

Top 20 donors of political parties

According to the Election Commission, the top 20 donors, including Future Gaming, Megha Engineering and Quixplychain Private Limited, purchased bonds worth Rs 5,420.30 crore, 44.59% of the total electoral bonds between April 2019 and January 2024.
