Electronic Soil Developed By Scientists Enhances Crop Growth By 50 Percent Know What It Is And How It Works

Electronic soil:Sweden’s Linköping University has presented an example of how technology is progressing with time. Actually, scientists of Linkping University have invented electronic soil. That means you do not need soil to grow crops. Your crop will be ready without soil, and the yield will also be 50% more than normal. You must be surprised after reading this but it is true. Now understand what this technology is and on whom it has been tested.

What is this electronic soil?

This technique of farming without soil is called hydroponics. This technology has been among us for a long time and many people are also doing farming with it. In this, minerals, water and sand are used to grow crops. In hydroponics, crops are grown with the help of mineral nutrient solution and crops can be grown anywhere with this technique. Due to the increasing outbreak of global warming, this technology was invented and today many people are doing farming with the help of this technology. In this technique, the mineral nutrient solution is everything for the plant and because it is activated by light, it is named electric soil.

Scientists of Linkping University have used a new type of substrate (surface on which the plant will grow) in this farming technique, in which this substrate is stimulated with the help of light. That is, with the help of light, more nutrition is provided to the surface of the crop and the roots of the crop are activated faster, due to which the growth of the crop increases quickly. In this type of farming you can control the nutrition of the crop.

Crop increased by 50 percent in 15 days

Research published in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences shows that barley plants grown in electric soil grew 50 percent more in 15 days when their roots were electrically stimulated. That is, when the roots of barley plants were activated electrically, their growth increased by 50% compared to normal in 15 days.

Associate Professor Eleni Stavrinidou of Linköping University in Sweden said that the world’s population is continuously increasing and the problem of global warming is serious. He said that in the coming times, we will not be able to meet the food needs of the people only through the existing agricultural methods. Therefore, we have to take the help of technology and all this can be done with the help of hydroponics.

More crops grow in less space

With the help of a technology you can do farming in a vertical manner. For example, this hydroponics setup can be installed in the form of a tower and many crops can be grown at one place. In hydroponics farming, a controlled atmosphere is created and everything can be controlled.
