Actually, social media platform X has launched an important update for its users, so that the blocking features can be reduced. With this new update, if users have set any of their posts to public settings, then that post will be able to be seen even by the people whom they have blocked. However, users you block on X won’t be able to see engagement from your public posts. Engagement of a post means like, reply, repost etc. of a post.
Soon we’ll be launching a change to how the block function works.
If your posts are set to public, accounts you have blocked will be able to view them, but they will not be able to engage (like, reply, repost, etc.).

This news has been given by the engineering team of X in a post through its official X account. Apart from this, even if you make any public post on X, a pop up notification will appear on your screen, through which users are being informed about this new feature.
What will be the benefits of this feature?
Blocked users will still be able to see public posts from the user who blocked them.
Blocked users will now be allowed to view and report abuse by the person who blocked them.
However, users can still use the ‘Protected Posts’ feature to limit who can and cannot see your posts. After using this feature, only your followers will be able to see your post.
