Significantly, the mix-up was pointed out in a tweet on Tuesday by the Norwegian Foreign Ministry tagging Twitter support. In the post, it was mentioned that the Twitter handles of Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Storey and Foreign Minister Anneken Heutefeldt were being shown as Nigerian government officials.

Twitter was made aware of its mistake by the Norwegian government, but the mistake was not rectified for the next several hours. This account belongs to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway, according to its policy, Twitter labels the account associated with the government. At this place, instead of writing Norwegian, Twitter wrote Nigerian. Later, when people trolled Twitter, Twitter attributed the account to the Norwegian government.
