Premium service to terrorist group leaders
According to the news of IANS, Tech Transparency Project (TTP) has presented a new report, in which it has been revealed that Elon Musk’s company X is providing its premium services to two leaders of the terrorist group. In this report, more than a dozen X accounts approved by America have been identified, which also have blue tick. Let us tell you that according to the new rules of X, now users have to buy paid premium service to get the blue tick, whereas earlier this was not the case. Earlier, the company used to provide blue tick only to those users whose popularity their team used to check.
In this report, it was found that such X accounts have been given premium service, through which they can post posts with long text and also long length videos. According to the report, 28 verified accounts belong to individuals and groups that the US government has identified as a threat to national security and a threat to the country.
Violation of US sanctions
The group includes two Hezbollah leaders, accounts linked to the Houthis in Yemen, and state-run media accounts from Iran and Russia. Out of all these accounts, 18 accounts had taken the premium service of . The report said that paying monthly or annual fees for premium services through these accounts indicates that X has engaged in financial transactions with these accounts, which may be in violation of US sanctions.
