ED opposes Arvind Kejriwal’s bail: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) will go to the Delhi High Court tomorrow morning against the trial court’s decision in the bail case of Arvind Kejriwal. In fact, today Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court has granted bail to CM Arvind Kejriwal in the excise policy case. The vacation bench granted bail to Arvind Kejriwal on a bond of Rs 1 lakh. The court rejected the ED’s request to postpone the process of filing the bail bond for 48 hours.

Actually, CM Kejriwal was arrested by the ED on March 21 in a money laundering case related to alleged irregularities in the now-canceled Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22. Earlier, he was granted interim bail by the Supreme Court on May 10 in view of the Lok Sabha elections. He was asked to surrender on June 2. The court also asked him not to go to the Chief Minister’s Office and the Delhi Secretariat.
