A student died under suspicious circumstances on Sunday night in Chitra Toli Road under Town Police Station area of the city. The family members are suspecting that Pattidar’s own people may have killed him. The deceased is Gaurav Kumar alias Krish, 20 year old son of Manoranjan Prasad, resident of Chitra Toli Road of Student Town police station area. He was an intermediate student and was studying engineering in Chennai. Regarding the incident, Vishal Kumar, brother of the deceased student, said that there was a dispute going on for some days with the Pattidar’s people regarding the property and they were also threatening to kill his brother over the property.
Late on Sunday evening when his father had gone out to get milk. At that time he was also out and had only one sister at home. The door of his room was open. When his father returned home after taking milk, he saw him lying dead on the bed. After this the family members informed the local police station. After receiving the information, Assistant Superintendent of Police Parichay Kumar and Town Police Station Head Devraj Rai reached the spot with the police force and met the family members of the deceased student to get information about the incident.
After this, the police took the body in their custody and got its post-mortem done at Sadar Hospital. Vishal Kumar, brother of the deceased student, has expressed fear of killing his brother for grabbing property. Whereas according to the information received, Chanda Devi, the mother of the deceased student, died in the year 2021 due to kidney failure. Since then he was suffering from slight depression. Due to which his health deteriorated and he stayed at home for five months. For this reason, there is also talk of his committing suicide. However, the police is investigating the matter at its level.
