Gary Ballance Retirement: 33-year-old Gary Ballance, who played international cricket for England and Zimbabwe, said goodbye to all formats of cricket on Wednesday, 19 April. Gary has played international cricket for both England and Zimbabwe. He made his international debut for Zimbabwe after getting a two-year contract. Balance has played one Test, one T20 International and 5 ODIs for Zimbabwe. The right-handed batsman said that he has no desire left to play any kind of cricket.
In a statement issued by the Professional Cricketers’ Association, Balance was quoted as saying, “After much thought, I have decided to retire from all forms of professional cricket with immediate effect.” It was further stated, “I hoped that going to Zimbabwe would give me a new joy for the game and I will always be grateful to Zimbabwe Cricket for giving me the opportunity to return to international cricket and welcoming me to their team.”

Let us tell you that Balance started its international career in 2013. He made his debut for England through the ODI series against Ireland. Gary has played only Test and ODI cricket for England, while he has played all three formats for Zimbabwe.
