Lal Babu Mahato’s special Bhunja outside Barauni station in Begusarai district is also famous in this area. This is the reason that either regular travelers buy special Bhunja from Lal Babu’s stall or nearby shopkeepers also like to buy Bhunja from his stall. Earlier his father used to set up a stall here. After his death Lal Babu sets up a stall. But even after his father’s death, Lalbabu has maintained the test.

22 year old Lal Babu Mahato, resident of Barauni Flag area, said that his dream was to move ahead after studying. But his father died due to illness during his fifth grade studies. Because of this, he left his studies and went towards the railway station with his father’s Bhunja cart. At that time Lalbabu was only 14 years old. He told that he makes Bhunja from 10 types of materials. Which is very special in taste. To prepare this Bhunja, everything is roasted.

This bhuja is prepared with special spices
Gram is bought for Rs 78 per kg, almonds for Rs 150 per kg, maize for Rs 100 per kg, sawdust for Rs 42 per kg, peas for Rs 112 per kg, moong for Rs 224 per kg and mixed bhuja for Rs 200 per kg. After this, special bhunja is made by mixing home prepared spices with ginger, chutney, onion and chilli. Which people eat with great enthusiasm.

Lal Babu feeds 100 grams of Bhunja for 20 rupees.
Lal Babu told that everyone comes here to taste Bhunja. The biggest specialty here is that fresh and roasted bhunja is available here. Lalbabu feeds 100 grams of Bhunja for Rs 20. Some customers living in the group buy bhunja worth up to Rs 200 each. Bhunja worth Rs 2 to 3 thousand is purchased by 500 to 600 customers every day.
