Diwali passed but winter did not come in North India. Cyclone Dana overturned cold conditions in Odisha and West Bengal. This cyclone stopped the cold winds coming from the mountains from reaching North India including Delhi, due to which the temperature in these areas has increased. The Meteorological Department says that the period of rapid increase in cold may begin around November 15.
