The High Commission has said that Canadian passport holders who want to visit India for travel, business, medical treatment or attending a conference can apply for an e-Visa on the official website. Along with this, some guidelines will also have to be followed for applying e-visa. A press release issued by the High Commission of India said that Canadian passport holders wishing to travel to India for any purpose, who are not eligible for an e-Visa, may visit https://www.blsindia-canada.gov.in. The High Commission further said that those who have applied for visa through various BLS centers in Canada are advised to wait till it is issued. All such applications will be processed on priority basis. Applicants who wish to withdraw their respective visa applications may do so by visiting the website https://www.blsindia-canada.com/ and selecting the option ‘Withdrawal of Application’.
Those who have booked an appointment to apply for a tourist, business, medical or convention visa at BLS centers in Canada and now wish to apply for an e-Visa instead, are requested to reschedule their appointment slot vacate/cancel so that it is available for others.
