Actress Saiyami Kher is playing the role of a Marathi girl Manjiri in the upcoming streaming series ‘Faadu – A Love Story’. For which she has gone back to her Maharashtrian roots for inspiration. The actress shared her experience regarding this. Actress Saiyami is the granddaughter of famous veteran actress Usha Kiran, who belongs to a Marathi speaking family.
Easy to add your own flavor to the character
‘Faadu – A Love Story’ has been directed by Ashwini Iyer Tiwari. This movie is about the challenges and complications of modern life. Bollywood actress Saiyami said, “I remember Ashwini ma’am (Ashwini Iyer Tiwari, director) saw my audition, actress Saiyami said that our first meeting was on ZOOM when I was sitting in my field.” This is who Manjari really is, I see her in you,” said Ashwini, the director of the film Faadu – A Love Story. Saiyami said, “My character in Faadu is someone who has grown up in the lap of nature, everything I find poetry in me. It is very close to who I am in real life. I play a Maharashtrian as Marathi is my mother tongue, so adding my flavor to the character was not that difficult.”

The actress expressed her gratitude to the director for giving her the opportunity to play such a character, which she considers one of her favourites. Actress Saiyami said, “I am really thankful to Ashwini ma’am as she believed in me and supported me from the beginning. I am glad that I got a chance to work with Pavail. Working with him made my life easier.” Done. Because he is such a co-star who knows how to give to people. ‘Faadu’ has taught me a lot. It is one of my most special projects till date.”
The movie ‘Faadu – A Love Story’ is written by Saumya Joshi. Pavail Gulati is also in this web-series and will soon be streamed on Sony Liv on 9th December.
