AI Algoritham Can Spot Drunk Drivers: Every day we get to see something new in the world of Artificial Intelligence. In this context, a new AI algorithm has emerged, which will tell you whether you are driving after drinking alcohol or not just by looking at your face. This can be detected with 75 percent accuracy through the new algorithm.
This AI project is being jointly worked on by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and the Computer Vision Foundation Conference. This AI camera computer works on observational behavior such as steering patterns, pedal usage and vehicle speed. This data can be collected while the car is moving. This new AI project uses a single color camera that notes gaze direction and head position.
How does this AI algorithm work?
This entire system is recording everything, how the driver is using the steering, what are his facial expressions. According to Ensiyeh Keshtkaran, a doctoral student at Edith Cowan University, our system has the capability to detect the intoxication level at the beginning of driving. This fits in with digital architecture like eye tracking and driver monitoring system.
You can get rid of these accidents
According to WHO i.e. World Health Organization, drunk driving is the main reason behind 20 to 30 percent of serious car accidents in the world. This project was born in Australia, and this is the reason behind 30 percent of serious car accidents. Ensiyeh Keshtkaran says that through this algorithm, we can get rid of these accidents in future.
