Fact Check PIB Said News Circulating About Lockdown In Country For Next 20 Days Is Fake


Fact Check News: Corona has created an outcry in many countries including China, Japan, America, Korea. In view of this, special precautions are being taken in India as well. The central government has also asked the states to be vigilant. Negative report of RT-PCR test has also been made mandatory for travelers from many countries including China. Meanwhile, many types of rumors are also being spread in the country regarding Corona.

Now a news is going viral on social media in which it is being said that due to Corona there will be a lockdown in the country and schools/colleges will remain closed for the next 20 days. The fact check unit of PIB has termed this viral news as fake.

Responding to this on Twitter, Fact Check Unit of PIB said that many news items are being shared on social media claiming that due to Kovid-19 there will be a lockdown in the country and schools/colleges will remain closed. PIB’s Fact Check Unit said that all these claims are fake. Do a fact check before sharing any such information related to Covid.

Government cautious about Corona

In view of the increasing threat of corona, the Union Health Ministry had said on Monday that a negative report of Kovid is mandatory for passengers arriving at any airport in India from China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Thailand. It was said that even if they originally started the journey from any country.

According to the updated data of the Union Health Ministry till 8 am on Tuesday, the total number of corona cases in the country has been recorded at 4.46 crore (4,46,78,956). The number of people who lost their lives due to infection is 5,30,707.
